同伴 · dohan
Also known as: dohan
Meeting a cast member before her shift for a meal or similar, then entering the venue together.
Dohan is when a guest meets a cast member outside the venue before her shift, has dinner or goes shopping, and then walks into the venue with her; formally it is called dohan shukkin, arriving for work accompanied. If after hours is after closing, dohan is before opening. Because it brings sales to the venue it feeds into a cast member's rating and pay, and some venues set dohan quotas.
For the guest, a dohan fee is usually added to the set fee, and the guest pays for the meal outside. A dohan does not make the relationship outside the venue special; once inside, service continues as normal. Arrange it directly with the cast member and ask the venue about the fee.
When you'll encounter this
You meet it when a cast member suggests a dohan, and in the dohan fee line on a price list.
