Event
イベント · ibento
Also known as: ibento
A special night such as an anniversary, a seasonal party or a cast member's birthday, when prices and the programme may differ from usual.
An event is a night when the venue does something out of the ordinary: its anniversary, a Halloween or Christmas party, or a cast member's birthday event. Casts may be in costume, there may be a special drinks menu or a keepsake, and the venue announces it in advance on its website and social media.
A cast member's birthday event is also the night her regulars open champagne to celebrate her. A first-time guest is under no obligation to join in, but on event nights some venues change the set fee and tables fill up, so check the price and whether to book before you go.
When you'll encounter this
You meet it in announcements on venue websites and social media, and when a cast member invites you to next week's event.
