Pickup

Mukae is the pickup side of sogei, a venue's transport service. Where a venue offers it, you give a meeting place and time when you book and the venue's car collects you from the nearest station or your hotel. It is found at hostess clubs and snack bars in regional towns and suburbs, and hardly ever at venues in city centres.

The driver or a staff member comes for you; a cast member never does. Inside the trade, mukae can also mean the car that comes to the venue after closing to take cast members home. Check the venue page for whether and how far a venue collects, and ask for it when you book.
