Senju/Ayase/Katsushika

Senju, Ayase, and Katsushika are downtown areas in eastern Tokyo with few tourists, bustling with local regulars. From station fronts to back alleys, small neon-lit shops line the streets.

Geographically, the area centers around Kita-Senju Station, extending to Ayase Station and Katsushika Ward's Tateishi and Kameari. Access is good via JR Joban Line, Tokyo Metro Chiyoda Line, and Tobu Skytree Line.

The nightlife here mainly consists of hostess bars (kyabakura), girls bars, and snack bars. Kyabakura are concentrated around Kita-Senju, with relatively reasonable prices. Girls bars are scattered in Ayase and Tateishi, offering a casual experience. Snack bars are tucked away in alleys, serving as adult social spots where you chat with the mama.

The number of venues is not huge, but each is unique and filled with local regulars. Prices: kyabakura around 5,000–8,000 yen per hour, girls bars cover charge 1,000–2,000 yen, snack bars typically bottle-keep with drinks 500–1,000 yen each.

Access: Kita-Senju Station is the main hub, served by JR Joban, Tokyo Metro Chiyoda, Hibiya, and Tsukuba Express lines. Ayase is one stop on the Chiyoda Line. Visit after 8 PM for the best experience.
