Pickup Service
送迎 · sougei
Also known as: sougei
A venue's car service that collects you from the station or your hotel and takes you back afterwards; common at regional and suburban venues.
Sogei is a venue collecting you by car and driving you back at the end of the night. In regional towns and suburbs where people get around by car, hostess clubs and snack bars sometimes offer it free or for a flat fee so guests do not have to drive after drinking. Venues in city centres rarely offer it; there you take the last train or a taxi.
To use it, give the venue a pickup place and time when you book. Check the venue page, or ask the venue, how far it covers (to the nearest station, within the city, and so on) and whether it costs anything. Within the trade the same word, or okuri, also means the venue's car taking cast members home after closing.
When you'll encounter this
You meet it in the "pickup available" note on a venue page and when you ask for it while booking by phone.
