Izumisano and Sennan face Kansai International Airport across the bay, roughly midway between Osaka and Wakayama. Eating and drinking places gather around Rinku Town, one stop from the airport, and Izumisano Station on the Nankai main line.
Rinku Town is the first station after the bridge from Kansai International Airport on the Nankai and JR airport lines; the Rinku Machidokoro tourist office stands right at its gates (8:00–21:00, with luggage storage and a currency-exchange machine). Izumisano Station is on the Nankai main line and airport line, reached without a change from both Namba and the airport. Sennan's centre is around Tarui Station on the Nankai main line.
Izumisano calls itself the gateway city of Kansai International Airport, and airport workers and travellers staying the night before or after a flight make up the evening crowd. The night venues sit mostly in the restaurant streets in front of Izumisano Station, where snack bars, girls bars and small hostess clubs (kyabakura) stand beside local izakaya. The Rinku Town side is hotels and shopping; for a drink, the Izumisano station front is the calmer choice.
Inland are the Inunaki-san hot springs and the Japan Heritage farm landscape of Hinenosho, so you can spend the day in the Senshu countryside and the evening at the station. It suits a quiet drink before a late-night or early-morning flight.
