The area covers the central part of the beach, around Shirako Town and Oamishirasato City. National Route 128 runs along the coast, with restaurants scattered nearby. Since it's far from train stations, a car is essential.
Nightlife centers on local snack bars (snack), small establishments with karaoke where regulars chat with the mama. Prices are reasonable, around 2,000–3,000 yen per hour including cover charge.
There are also a few izakaya serving seafood dishes and local sake, but most close by 10 PM.
Table-service nightlife like kyabakura, girls bars, or host clubs are virtually nonexistent here. For a full nightlife experience, head to Chiba City or Tokyo.
Access by car is best; parking is available at each shop. Be careful not to drink and drive. Buses are infrequent, so use taxis or a designated driver. Friday and Saturday nights are relatively busier.
