The town centres the ordinance names

Shizuoka's nuisance prevention ordinance regulates touting and luring, and the table attached to its enforcement rules names, street by street, the zones where waiting for customers is banned. Listed for Aoi-ku in Shizuoka City are Ryogae-cho 2-chome, Gofuku-cho 2-chome, Konya-machi, Temma-cho, Tokiwa-cho 1-chome, Miyuki-cho and Takajo 1-chome; in Hamamatsu's Chuo-ku, Chitose-cho, Ta-machi, Sakana-machi, Kaji-machi and Hatago-cho.

The list also covers Ote-machi 1, 3 and 5-chome, Shinjuku-cho and Takashima-cho in Numazu, Ichiban-cho in Mishima, and Ekimae, Konya-machi and Sakana-machi in Kakegawa; Fujieda's Ekimae 1- and 2-chome joined the list on 1 April 2026. Access

JR Central's stop guide has Hikari trains calling at Shizuoka and Hamamatsu, at Mishima roughly every two hours and at Atami a few times a day, with Kodama trains at every station including Shin-Fuji and Kakegawa. By car, Mt Fuji Shizuoka Airport is roughly 40 minutes from Shizuoka City and 50 from Hamamatsu, and Kofu in Yamanashi is some 2 hours 10 minutes from Shizuoka Station on the JR Minobu Line limited express.
