Step out of Toyama Station, and soon the flickering lights of the entertainment district spread before you. Local office workers and tourists mingle, giving the area a lively yet compact nightlife vibe.
Within walking distance from the station, snack bars and girls bars cluster together, with old-school drinking spots tucked away in back alleys. The compact layout makes it ideal for bar hopping.
On the main streets, a handful of hostess bars and host clubs offer relatively reasonable prices. Many venues have systems that are easy for first-timers to understand. Snack bars are adult social venues where you can enjoy conversation with the mama.
Girls bars have many young female staff and a casual drinking atmosphere. Concept cafes are still rare, but some snack bars incorporate similar elements.
