Host

A host is a male cast member working at a host club. His job is to sit at a guest's table, keep the conversation going and drink with her; the guests are mostly women. Like a hostess club's cast, hosts can be nominated, and the host a guest nominates as her tanto, her designated host, is the one who sits with her on later visits.

A host's sales are the bottles and champagne his guests order, and a ranking by sales is displayed in the club. On a first visit several hosts take turns at your table and you choose your tanto at the end. Most venues do not let you change your tanto once chosen, so there is no need to decide in a hurry on the first night.
