Nishiki is the part of Naka Ward, Nagoya, centred on Nishiki 3-chome, which the city introduces as a downtown district affectionately nicknamed Kinsan.
The Nagoya municipal subway runs the Higashiyama, Meijo, Meiko, Tsurumai and Sakura-dori lines (the last including the Kamiiida Line), and every station is listed on the Transportation Bureau's site.
Nagoya City describes Nishiki 3-chome as one of the city's leading downtown districts, known by its nickname Kinsan. The city's page explains that the grid of streets laid out after the Kiyosu relocation is still in place.

Nishiki 3-chome is part of Nagoya's Sakae no-touting zone, together with Sakae 3 to 5 chome and Shinsakae 1 chome. Within the zone, no one may tout or arrange for anyone else to do it.
Aichi's implementing ordinance uses Appended Table 5 to mark out the blocks in which hosted-entertainment venues may keep trading beyond midnight, and some block numbers in Nishiki 3-chome appear in it.
Nishiki is generally fine for a night out. The main risk is bottakuri, a padded bill at the end. Stick to venues that post their prices, skip street touts steering you into ‘free’ bars, and confirm the set fee plus any nomination or bottle charges before you order.
