Kotoni is an area of Nishi Ward, Sapporo. The ward's introduction calls the Kotoni-Nijuyonken district a long-standing hub on Sapporo's west side, with the ward office and other public and commercial facilities.
Kotoni Station (station number T03) appears in the official municipal subway station directory. According to the city, the subway's Kotoni Station, which has a bus terminal, is close to JR Kotoni Station.
In its second urban planning master plan, Sapporo designates Kotoni as a regional exchange hub. The city's material presents Kotoni as a centre of commerce and administration.
