Shiroishi・Atsubetsu spans Shiroishi and Atsubetsu, two wards of Sapporo. The official pages of both wards point visitors to public facilities such as the ward offices and community centres.
Both Shiroishi and Shin-Sapporo appear on the Tozai subway line in Sapporo’s official station list. The transport bureau assigns T13 to Shiroishi and T19 to Shin-Sapporo, which sits at the terminal end of that line.

The Sapporo ordinance applies its ban both to the person doing the touting and to anyone having it done. It concerns public space in the city’s prohibited zone. Since full implementation on 1 July 2022, disobeying an order is punishable by a non-criminal fine of up to 50,000 yen, together with disclosure of names and other details.
Shiroishi・Atsubetsu is generally fine for a night out. The main risk is bottakuri, a padded bill at the end. Stick to venues that post their prices, skip street touts steering you into ‘free’ bars, and confirm the set fee plus any nomination or bottle charges before you order.
