Minato Mirai is a planned district on reclaimed land in Yokohama, which the city's tourism site calls the new face of Yokohama. Museums, shopping malls, office towers and hotels are laid out across it.
The nearest stop is Minatomirai Station on the Minatomirai Line, which Yokohama's tourism site says is linked to several shopping complexes. The same site also points to Sakuragicho Station, with municipal subway services and JR trains on the Negishi and Keihin-Tohoku lines, as the gateway to the area.

In entertainment districts, malicious solicitation and touting that cause a serious nuisance fall under Article 9 of Kanagawa's ordinance. An officer may issue a stop order. If a business fails to comply, an order suspending its operations may follow from the prefectural public safety commission. Minato Mirai is generally fine for a night out. The main risk is bottakuri, a padded bill at the end. Stick to venues that post their prices, skip street touts steering you into ‘free’ bars, and confirm the set fee plus any nomination or bottle charges before you order.
