Bentencho/Kujo/Taisho groups the neighbourhoods around Bentencho and Kujo stations on the Chuo Line and Taisho Station on the Nagahori Tsurumi-ryokuchi Line.
On the Osaka Metro Chuo Line, Bentencho Station (C13) connects to JR and Kujo Station (C14) to Hanshin. The Taisho side is reached via Taisho Station (N11) on the Nagahori Tsurumi-ryokuchi Line, another connection with JR services.
Nishi Ward links Kujo's Meiji-era prosperity to the opening of the port, explaining its nickname, the Shinsaibashi of the west, with the Kujo shopping street to its west. Taisho Ward's own account traces its development as an industrial district along the waterfront.
