Uehonmachi is an area of Tennoji Ward, Osaka, centred on Kintetsu's Osaka-Uehommachi Station. The ward describes it as a district transformed into a modern town by urban redevelopment.
The tourism bureau notes that Kintetsu Department Store Uehommachi is directly linked to Osaka-Uehommachi Station on the Kintetsu Osaka and Nara lines. If you are travelling by Osaka Metro, change at Tanimachi 9-chome Station (T25) on the Tanimachi Line for the Sennichimae Line (S18) and Kintetsu.

Uehonmachi is generally fine for a night out. The main risk is bottakuri, a padded bill at the end. Stick to venues that post their prices, skip street touts steering you into ‘free’ bars, and confirm the set fee plus any nomination or bottle charges before you order.
