Morinomiya/Tamatsukuri groups the areas around two stations served by the Osaka Metro Nagahori Tsurumi-ryokuchi and Chuo subway services, alongside JR trains.
At Morinomiya Station (C19) on the Chuo Line connections include JR and the N20 station of the Nagahori Tsurumi-ryokuchi Line. On the Tamatsukuri side, Tamatsukuri Station (N19) on the Nagahori Tsurumi-ryokuchi Line is also a transfer point for JR.
According to Higashinari Ward, Tamatsukuri once thrived as the starting point of the Nara Kaido highway, with the Nikenjaya teahouses and a stone bridge, Kuromon-bashi, along the road.
